All of our students are working towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and Unity Christian High School Diploma. Most of our students graduate with more than the required 30 credits. 95% of Unity students pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test on their first attempt.
Transportation is included in the cost of tuition. We share five bus routes with Timothy Christian School and service Alliston, Oro, Innisfil, Springwater and Sunnidale. These routes are streamlined for efficiency and cost. For more information about the current routes and stops, please contact the school office.
No family pays the real cost of tuition. Every family receives several thousand dollars in financial assistance, regardless of need. This is achieved through regular fundraising throughout the year. Click here to learn more.
Unity is a not for profit charitable organization. We do not receive any public funding. All of our costs are met through tuition and community fund-raising
Unity has a Board of Directors who are elected for three year terms. The Board consists of current and alumni parents and even parents of future students. There is a high level of communication between the various committees. Unity is a member of the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools.
We are an educational community for families who desire a high quality, Christian education for their children. Our families worship in over 20 different churches.
All of our teachers are certified by the Province of Ontario and some have Masters’ Degrees in Education. Some also have their Christian School Teaching Certificate.
Our Resource teacher works alongside individual students to ensure that his or her academic needs are being met. It is important to us as a community that we work hard to meet the needs of all our students.
School begins at 8.55am and ends at 3.15pm. Lunch is from 12.15 -12.45. The day has five periods.
Although Unity does not have a school uniform, the basic premise of our dress code is respect for self and others. Customized Unity athletic and casual clothing is available for purchase at different times throughout the year.
We are a member of the Simcoe County Athletic Association which means that we compete against high schools in the public school boards. We regularly compete in the Georgian Bay Regional Finals and the Ontario Federation of School Athletics Association. We have teams in basketball, volleyball, cross-country running, track and field, badminton, hockey and rowing.
Unity invites the public to our Performing Arts Centre to see our theatrical productions. Previous performances include The Wizard of Oz, The Importance of Being Earnest and James and the Giant Peach. Our school bands and choirs hold concerts twice a year. Our choir enjoys sharing music on choir tours. They have sung to audiences as far away as Prince Edward Island!
There are six elected students and they work hard throughout the year to create a lively student social life which include movie nights, dances, a spring banquet and spirit days. These representatives also work on student committees.
Unity offers a variety of clubs including music council, athletic council and the yearbook club. We also have a community garden which we share with the local Allandale neighbourhood.

“Our three children have very different learning styles from each other and all have not only been accommodated at Unity but have been encouraged and supported by our passionate teachers and staff to thrive in their differences. We love the Christ-centred, small school atmosphere where great things continue to happen!” Stacey & Rob, Parents of an Alumni and Grade 11 and 9 students
“Over my four years at Unity, I have learned how to develop a discerning Christian worldview and the other skills needed for post-secondary schooling and my career. The wonderful teachers have put time and effort in essential one-on-one engagement with students. The environment and school culture is built around love, providing each student with safety and security and opportunities to participate in fun activities and to get involved in the community.” Nathan, Graduate
“Unity is a tremendous gift from God. Our daughter has grown intellectually, spiritually and emotionally. She absolutely loved the school! The teachers truly care about each student and they are excellent Christian role models. They consistently do above and beyond the norm, providing an excellent education. Finally, there is a real sense of community among the students. Our family is sincerely grateful that Unity has been part of our lives.” Malcom & Carol, Alumni Parents
“The teachers have provided our children with a solid education equipping them to seek out God's calling for their lives. In an increasingly secular world, Unity provided an environment rooted in God's Word that allowed our children to wrestle with difficult questions and arrive at solid faithful answers.” Donna, Alumni Parent
“Unity was such a blessing to me. The school community was great and it was a place where I knew I was always welcome and safe. The teachers are excellent, caring and really push you to do your best. The classes are firmly based in the Word of God and helped me build a strong foundation for my faith and discover who I am. I would recommend Unity to any high school student looking for a place to learn and grow.” Jacob, Graduate
“I really enjoyed being at Unity because the atmosphere was upbeat and something new was always happening. I felt that I was valued by my teachers. They worked hard to connect with us and were willing to stay after school to help us understand concepts that we were struggling with. Unity has a lot of extra-curricular activities to be involved in and my favourite was definitely the overnight tournaments when we got to compete with great athletes from across Ontario.” Madeline, Graduate
“We are extremely impressed with our experience at Unity Christian School thus far. The level of support and care demonstrated by the entire teaching staff is beyond anything I have ever experienced. We are so grateful to know that our children will not only have an excellent education, but an education grounded in biblical truth and principles displayed by all those put in charge to overseer their young hearts and minds. There is no other option for us. Money well spent and prayers answered!” Alexia & Nathan, Parents of a Current Unity Student
“I am now studying for a Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto and have found that I am very well prepared academically. I am extremely grateful for the excellent teaching I received at Unity.” Rachel, Graduate
“We were new to the concept of 'Christian Education'. We have learned that it means that students are surrounded by people who care about them; that the authority of their teachers is respected and that the teaching they receive is excellent. As parents, we have had peace of mind that our teenagers are growing intellectually, emotionally and spiritually in a God honouring environment. We couldn't ask for anything more!” Anne & Steve, Parents of 2 Grads and a Gr. 12 Student
